We are currently looking for a Program Management Director to join either our Costa Mesa, CA or Allen, TX team. Major Job Functions: Develops, plans, directs and controls strategic short and long term financial and operational goals and objectives for a broad functional area Manages goals and objectives through subordinate managers, supervisors and staff. Develop policies and procedures that affect departmental operations and may affect cross-organizational functions. Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a group of subordinate managers, supervisors and staff. Responsible for staff salary planning, personnel actions, and performance management process. Establishes departmental financial and operational goals and objectives. Manages departmental financial and operational goals and objectives through subordinate supervisors and staff. May participate with senior management in the development of department budget as well as operational goals and objectives. Remains aware of internal company environment, competitive environment, and market trends and developments within functional area. Applies knowledge and provides input to senior management to develop policies and procedures that affect departmental operations and may impact other functional areas. Plans and executes complex programs or a set of projects impacting business unit goals and operations across multiple functional areas. Manages project scope, planning, scheduling, costs, quality assurance, resource allocation, communications, risk control, and procurement. Manages very large projects/programs and major strategic initiatives spanning multiple organizations, including internal and external customers. Manages the development and implementation of project management methodology and tools across multiple business units. Facilitates cross-business and cross-functional integration and participation to ensure project execution. Collaborates with business unit management to develop schedules, procedures, and systems to enable timely and accurate project completion and seamless transition into a production/operations environment. Directs project/program management staff in the development, monitoring, update and execution of plans for business unit projects including cross-functional communication, financial analysis, resource planning and allocation, risk management planning, budget management and change control. MA/MS/MBA preferred. 8-10 years functional experience. 5-7 years managerial experience. Experience in managing large, complex programs in Oracle Financials and HR. Works on extremely complex and distinct problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors. Exercises broad level of judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers. Overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods and employees. Excellent knowledge of program and project management methodology and tools, including software. Excellent knowledge of computer systems and processes and PC desktop applications. Excellent knowledge of business unit products and operations. Excellent knowledge of legislation and regulations impacting business unit industry. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills. Excellent leadership skills. Ability to travel. Software Development background a plus.
