Role of a Business Intelligence Consultant

Due to client demand and growth we are looking for additional Business Intelligence Consultants (also known as Implementation Specialists or Programmer Analysts) to join our team. These are great career opportunities for highly motivated and business-minded college graduates and professionals with a strong interest and aptitude for technology and who enjoy working directly with the client in various locations across the US. 

 

Successful applicants will be detail-oriented and have a high comfort level with technology, familiar with and/or comfortable with learning a proprietary language similar to PERL or SAS, will be familiar with networking and relational databases.  The focus of this role is to work with customers helping their organizations leverage this product family from pre-sales through the deployment process.  You will be implementing DI's products to create a reporting and analysis environment and customizing solutions for clients across a avariety of vertical industries.  You will be writing Integrator scripts, build models and creating reports.

· Capability and aptitude in programming skills to create solutions for a variety of business issues. This position is approx. 75% programming/25% business analyst skills.

Position Requirements:Education: B.S. in  Computer Science, Math, Material Science, Business, or Economics, preferably a dual or combination degree which includes some computer programming courses.Experience:  At least 6 months work experience in a software company preferred.  Some familiarity and/or experience in MIS, Business Intelligence or Business Reporting environment is a plus.  Candidates with 6 months – 5 years experience will be considered.  This is not a Senior level role. Prefer proficiency with the following:  A programming language or scripting language such as Perl, javascript, an ETL tool or SAS; Operating Systems knowledge including Windows, Unix and AS400; relational databases and data feeds.Networking and web server experience is a plus.Experience in health care or supply chain is a plus.Travel:  Approx. 60% US travel. Must have excellent verbal communication skills, be articulate, self motivated and have a professional customer service/support demeanor.
