Programmer Analyst - Powerbuilder

We are actively seeking a:Sr. Powerbuilder Programmer 



This position will be a member of a team with 5 developers. They are working on 1 large application and 4 other smaller ones.  They provide continual enhancement and support to all 5 applications. 

 

Major functionality of the large application is an ERP for there clients.It covers from the marketing tasks on the front –end through entire sales cycle on the back end.  This application is built with Powerbuilder with over 1 million lines of code.  Candidates will be working on enhancements and major functionalities and must make sure that it interfaces with the organization's core systems.

 

They run Powerbuilder 10.5 and will consider candidates with version 9.

 

Ideal candidates must have:

 

3 years of solid experience with Powerbuilder.  At least version 9. 

Must have experience with Oracle Databases. At least 10g or 9i. 

Database experience i.e. Stored procedures, packages and functions. 

Must be proficient with  PL/SQL and SQL Database. 

Must have PFC (Powersoft Foundation Class Library)

Must have a good understanding of data modeling (from table relationships, how to construct tables, understands indexes and triggers.)

 

A PLUS is experience with JSF.

 

Candidate must have great communications skills because they will interface with other groups and the users at times.
