Programmer Analyst @ UCLA

Job Description:

This incumbent will be part of the team responsible for the development, integration, and

support of a collaborative neuroinformatics software tool. Responsibilities include: (1)

designing, building, testing, and debugging components of neuroinformatics software, (2)

designing and implementing interoperability between software tools (mainly visualization)

and data in coordination with scientists and software programmers, (3) documenting and

providing support to users, (4) evaluating software performance to identify and fix

inefficiencies, and (5) regularly interacting with multiple collaborators from many

institutions.

 

Qualifications:

* Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Neuroscience or the equivalent preferred
* Excellent knowledge of Java and Swing required
* Working knowledge of LINUX and Windows required
* Excellent knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design required
* Knowledge of medical image processing, manipulation, and display preferred
* Proven experience using and developing robust standards and protocols for exchanging data

preferred
