Programmer Development (Spanish Applications)

MEDITECH is looking for entry-level programmers to develop software for the Spanish version of our Health Care Information System. As a member of MEDITECH's Development Division, you will receive training in MEDITECH's high-level programming languages, database systems, and medical application software. For proper assessment of your technical abilities, a problem solving analytical quiz will be administered to candidates who are selected to interview. You will be part of a small, new team and an exciting new effort at MEDITECH to develop the Spanish-speaking market in Latin America. Responsibilities: * Become proficient with the programming languages and tools necessary to develop application solutions * Learn an assigned product group to a user level of understanding * Work with Development Analysts and potential customers to understand the specific needs of the Spanish-speaking market. * Modify our US-based system to meet the cultural, financial and medical needs of the Spanish-speaking market. * Translate our HCIS programs into Spanish * Travel to customer sites for analysis, development, implementation and service support responsibilities * Participate in meetings and conference calls where technical solutions are explained to our customers in end user terminology * Document all work, from design to final solution, completely and clearly Qualifications:* Strong analytical and programming skills * Excellent communication skills in Spanish are required, native speakers preferred * Ability to work as part of a team and independently * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment * Strong desire to learn Education & Experience: Computer course work in computer programming related fields, Associates Degree or a Bachelors Degree. We will also consider individuals with 2 to 3 years of programming experience. No professional experience is required.
