Position Purpose


The Project Analyst is responsible for implementing healthcare e-commerce applications within a pre-defined work plan and rapid delivery methodology. The Analyst works closely with Solution Design Analysts, Project Managers, Engineers and other team members to deliver system integration services needed to facilitate web-based transaction processing between physician offices and their trading-partner networks

Responsibilities:


Assist with rapid, prototype-based, requirement gathering.
Write detailed functional specifications, for use by both technical and non-technical readers, to describe business transaction functionality, browser-based end-user interfaces, data integration, business-rule processing logic and data communication implementation.
Work closely with QA staff to assist with integration and functionality assimilation, test-cycle delivery and bug resolution.
Manage the customer Integration and User Acceptance testing efforts.
Aid in the education of the various team members of the designed functionality.
Provide production support during post implementation period and prepare the
Application Support team for ongoing production support.


Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical/business discipline.
Minimum of two to four years’ experience directly supporting the implementation of business-critical software applications and systems.
Experience working with customers in rapid-based customer requirement gathering techniques and methods.
Experience juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong business and technical writing skills.
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Strong leadership skills and initiative by working independently while effectively communicating with both external and internal clients
Strong problem solving skills.
Highly motivated individual who seeks out learning opportunities
Demonstrable experience building detailed functional specifications for use by both technical and non-technical readers.
In addition to the above requirements, specific skills in any of following areas are highly desirable:
Knowledge of managed care business transactions, including Member Eligibility and Benefits, Referral and Authorization management, Claim EDI, and Formulary/Pharmacy management.
Consulting background as an analyst or senior analyst with a national firm.
Experience working in a multi-trading partner e-commerce integration environment.
Basic experience with HTML and XML as well as HTML and XML editors.
Experience working with a managed care transaction system (e.g. Amisys, Erisco, HSD, CSC, etc.).
Experience working with IBM MQSeries, Tibco, MSMQ or similar integration software tools.
Experience working with EAI, BPM, and/or BAM technologies.
Some programming/systems experience, including SQL-based query construction and database schema proficiency. Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred.
