Project Manager - Global Forwarding Application Team (02004)
Description:This position will partner with the manager and business sponsor to define direction for the Global Forwarding project to consolidate multiple regional systems into one single global platform. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for project scope, schedule, cost and delivery of assigned project(s). The project manager is responsible for the timely resolution of issues and mitigation of risks, communication of status to business sponsor(s), IT management and other impacted projects teams. There will be additional projects in the future that will vary in scope, size and complexity.- Defines project requirements with support from business analysts, subject matter experts and functional leads - Manages the development of project standards, procedures and quality objectives- Develops and communicates project plans, schedules, costs and organization-wide metrics - Assesses variances from the plan and develops and implements changes as agreed upon to ensure project meets time, cost and quality objectives - Conducts formal business reviews at project milestones and completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction - Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, business client, development team and other key stakeholdersThis position will be expected to demonstrate performance in a manner that is consistent CHRW IT Core Values including know our business; be entrepreneurial; be a team player; provide excellent customer service; be passionate; know our technology; communicate, communicate, communicate; respect people; be accountable; and have a strong and balanced work ethic.Qualifications:- Over ten years of experience in Information Technology with a minimum of five years managing or leading large-scale technology projects, preferably global in nature- Able to demonstrate previous experience with solution delivery, including software development life cycle management and formal project management methodologies.- Takes action on potential risks and issues and provides proposals for solutions if escalation is required- History of success at building and maintaining efficient and effective teams.
