Project Manager: Global Supply Chain Visibility Software

Management Dynamics, a leading provider of global trade management software and information services, has an immediate project management opening in Cary, NC for its hosted global supply chain visibility software solutions. 

 

Job Description:

·         Successfully lead customer implementation projects on time and within budget to a worldwide client base.

·         Lead project teams made up of internal, client, and trading partner resources.

·         Provide hands-on expertise of product functionality and implementation activities.

·         Document and communicate project information to all constituents.

·         Provide scope (including resource and timelines) for new business opportunities.

·         Produce, communicate and present services deliverables both internally and externally.

·         Conduct super-user application training oriented around the customer’s implementation.

Responsibilities:

·         Maintain in-depth understanding of all Management Dynamics product functions, services, processes and technical architecture.

·         Manage project scope, project plans, and statement of work.

·         Assess, document and control project costs and implementation revenue.

·         Coordinate the test and preproduction environments in support of customer User Acceptance Testing.

·         Work with integration IT staff to define and complete tasks for customer and service provider interfaces.

·         Plan and effectively utilize resources to deliver projects per specifications.

·         Responsible for writing business requirements and use cases for customer enhancements.

·         Responsible for the creation of customer monthly invoices.

 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Abilities:

·         7+ years of project management experience.

·         BS Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Computer Science or other related area.

·         Understanding of supply chain operations and information technology is preferred

·         Proficient in project management and project delivery.

·         Proficient with the following software tools: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio.

·         Experience with technical integration including data exchange, application configuration and software installation.

·         Familiar with EDI standards.

·         Ability to work on multiple complex tasks concurrently.

·         Can work independently or in team structure.

·         Ability to form consensus and provide team leadership.

·         Can take initiative and make decisions as necessary.

·         Strong written and oral communications skills (including technical writing).

·         Travel to customer locations (domestic and international) for project planning and administration, requirements sessions, training and presentations (30-50%).
