Project Manager - Healthcare

General Summary

Responsible for managing multiple implementation projects, ensuring client satisfaction and references for Bottomline’s Healthcare customers.  Management includes coordinating technical and training resources (internal and external), to ensure smooth and on-time implementation in accordance with the customer's business needs.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist sales in estimating and positioning service work the Medform, Medex and QuickRecord products. 

· Complete implementation survey documents in a timely and thorough fashion.

· Develop and get customer commitment to Statement of Work.

· Coordinate delivery of installation, analysis, implementation, training and document development work to project plan to ensure meeting customer and management expectations.

· Produce project plans, status reports, expense reports and timesheets on a timely basis.

· Efficiently escalate problems as they are encountered.

· Effectively lead an implementation team composed of internal and external staff.

· Maintain technological knowledge of industry trends in healthcare, document development and computerized workflow.

· Other duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements 

· Ability to effectively communicate ideas to large and small groups, and individuals of all levels.

· Understanding of profit and loss, margins and return on investment as it relates to customers and projects.

· Understanding of client server concepts, operating systems, databases, forms design, workflow and document construction and management.

· Actively manage a team of implementation consultants composed of internal and external staff.  Contribute positively to the successful delivery of customer solutions by the assigned team. 

· Ability to set and modify customers' and partners' expectations and commitment.

· Ability to resolve customer problems with diplomacy, either directly or with the team's assistance.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar.

· Ability to travel - up to 40%.

 

Education

· Bachelor's Degree, concentration in computer science preferred.

· Master's Degree desirable.

 

Work Experience

· At least 5 years experience in the software industry, preferably in Services.  Healthcare industry experience is a requirement.

· At least 3 years project management experience.
