Project Manager/Systems Analyst

If you have a strong background in Web Applications and are interested in working with a company that is a leader in their industry, this is the opportunity for you!  With more than 600 employees located in development centers in the U.S., Europe, India and Malaysia, Monster Technologies fosters an innovative and entrepreneurial environment focused on leveraging cutting-edge technology to develop industry-leading products.    The overall responsibilities of this position include defining the functional requirements, conducting detailed analysis, and acting as a liaison between the business project sponsors and development organizations, in a customer-centric environment.       Essential Functions: ·  Act as a liaison to both Monster’s global product and development teams to define solutions and lead projects to deliver on the vision.   ·  Lead, manage, coordinate and report on multiple projects.     ·  Lead efforts to define and shape technical solutions, document requirements and craft functional designs, while continuing to innovate and maintain Monster’s commitment to excellence.   ·  Partner with multiple business units to provide project leadership, application-specific subject matter expertise, and technical insight and impact assessments as they relate to Monster’s online presence.     ·  Assemble and drive cross-functional project teams, identify resources needed, and develop detailed project plans and schedules to ensure on-time delivery of projects.   ·  Ownership for defining technology-related issues, act as a key point of contact for ongoing initiatives, and directly manage the project or coordinate with the Project Manager to provide seamless service to the business community.     ·  Take action to identify and resolve project problems/issues and reports on mitigating steps and actions taken to ensure timely deliverables, project success and quality.   Qualifications:  ·  Extensive experience in writing Functional Requirements (2+ years of systems analysis required). ·  Basic UML design and specification concepts preferred. Preferred exposure to development practices in large, complex Web environments. ·  A track record of success in help solving significant technology-related business problems in a complex web environment. ·  Must understand systems analysis practices and have demonstrated experience in applying them in practice. ·  Ability to understand technical vision and communicate it to both technical and non-technical parties. ·  Experience in working with environments where software applications are being built from scratch (idea to deployment). ·  Experience with integrating custom built applications with existing applications and third party software. ·   Experience managing small to medium sized projects with aggressive delivery deadlines (3+ years of project management experience required). ·  Utilizes sound and proven project management methodology (processes, best practices, tools, and templates) and the ability to identify and implement process improvements to deliver projects more efficiently (PMI certification preferred). ·  Proven experience managing scope and expectations with cross-functional teams through negotiations and partnering. ·  Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven process. Confident team leader and team builder with strong motivational skills. ·   Demonstrated self-direction skills and strong business relationship skills.   General:   ·  Experience developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with the business and technology departments that drive business results. ·  Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. ·  Outstanding time management and organization skills. ·  Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills. ·  Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.       Monster Worldwide is committed to providing a safe workplace for all employees.
