Q.A. Team Lead w/ Mercury Test Tools exp
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Experience with Quality Assurance and Testing best practices
Ensure Q/A Test Case design and execution methodologies are technically sound
Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and team lead developers to define test scenarios and develop a plan to accomplish the test objective
Lead and take accountability for all phases of software QA testing including planning, design, development and implementation of software test plans, execution of test cases, and scripts including data collection
Systematically identify and define problems, evaluate alternative solutions and implement effective solutions
Communicate problems or issues with coworkers and managers
Perform a variety of duties and prioritize those duties to meet company/customer demands
Provide thorough documentation for all development work
Understanding of software development life-cycle
Iterative development estimation and planning
Develop testing approaches to accommodate tight schedules and resource constraints
Perform all aspects of verification, including functional, structural, regression, load and system testing
Design, develop and implement complex test automation both at the functional and system level
Work closely with development team to identify areas and methods to improve testing efficiency, expand coverage and increase product reliability
Investigate complicated performance and stability issues involving a large, sophisticated and evolving code base
Detailed understanding of web design/development concepts and techniques
Qualifications
5+ yrs experience in a web-based testing environment
Established a testing environment using web-based testing tools (i.e. HP (Mercury Interactive) suite of tools)
Familiar with Java J2EE technologies like eCommerce and CMS hosted solutions
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Education
Bachelor’s (Master’s a plus) degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
