Job Summary: 

 

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be the primary contributor of automation (functional, regression, integration, and performance) for new product line.  Work with Automation Lead to design and build automation framework/harness to run automation suite.  Assist Automation team in defining and prioritizing Automation Roadmap as it pertains to Sabrix MTS Suite.  Perform automation duties as defined by the Automation Roadmap.

 

 

Job responsibilities include:

 

· Creating automated test scripts as needed.

· Develop automation functional/regression scripts for new product-line

· Develop functional tests for Web Services

· Assist with automation tool research to determine and select an appropriate tool/tool-set.

· Build framework to support running automated tests

· Develop automation suite to perform Integration end-to-end test.

· Perform Code-Coverage analysis to determine and prioritize what tests should be added/automated.

· Assist team to design, develop, and execute performance lab tests to be run over entire MTS suite.  Document benchmarks for Web Services, and monitor variance from the benchmark.

· Work with QA and Engineering teams to build a nightly automated deployment, and smoke test – including a mini-performance test.

· Report daily on task progress and weekly on task completion, milestones, and roadblocks.

· Reports directly to the QA project lead and corporate QA manager.

 

 

Job and work experience requirements:

 

· 2-4 years Automation experience preferred.

· BS in Computer Science or equivalent programming experience.

· Strong proficiency with SQL databases, tools, and operations.

· Strong proficiency with intersystem interfaces/access points, multiple tiered systems, and client/server applications.

· Experience with web services technologies like SOAP, and XML.

· Proficiency with automated test tools and languages, scripting, et al. including Selenium, and Mercury QTP.

· Proficiency in scripting languages: Perl, Python, VBScript, JavaScript.

· Experience with Linux & Windows Operating Systems

· Proficiency with white box/clear box testing, including analysis of systems, test cases, and approach – a plus.

· Experience with financial applications a plus
