QA Test Engineer

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as QA test engineer on assigned projects; Responsible for developing test cases and performing basic product testing on Concurrent product and system releases.

Able to generate product assurance test plan for basic hardware/software project release activities; Communicate problems and solution data to other test engineers and development personnel through the creation of problem reports.

Support the development of specialized tooling for new products. Perform manual and automated testing on Video related hardware and applications.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

STRONG KNOWLEGE OF: Unix or Linux Operating Systems

EDUCATION:
BSEE, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent experienced required

Or

Oracle 10g installation/administration/SQL queries

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED HELPFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED:

Knowledge of Shell scripting
Familiarity with .NET technologies
Knowledge of shell scripting
Knowledge of automated testing (WinRunner, TextQuest, Rational Functional Tester, ect.)
Cisco switching and routing
Knowledge of Network analyzers (software and/or hardware based) SOAP, SoapScope)
Software development life cycle
Motorola DAC / Headend Experience
SA DNCS / Headend Experience
VOD Experience SeaChange, Broadbus, etc Work experience in Cable or an Engineering related field is also desirable.
Knowledge and proficiency of Japanese language
