Quaility Engineer - Performance Engineer
Job SummaryAs a quality engineer on in Business Applications, your primary focus will be running performance projects. You will focus on the needs analysis, measurement, tracking, reporting, and implementing of quality assurance measures on a complement of projects and applications, both new and existing. You will act as a liaison for quality issues, develop written technical performance plans, create and run specific test scenarios, and develop test suites. In addition you will help identify, document and implement improvement in both systems and processes. You will work with both production and development applications where projects tend to be fast paced, varied in nature, and require QE involvement from inception to deployment.Responsibilities• Create, maintain, run performance scripts and scenarios for internal and external applications • Analyze application and system performance • Generate and publish performance reports • Work with Developers and Analysts to debug and resolve issues. • Create data sets • Analyze performance tools, and environment for continuous process improvement • Participate in functional reviews, test specifications, documentation and code review • Participate in all aspects of product development and design • Participate in QE testing process as needed (performing hands-on testing of web applications, Design and develop test plans based upon functional and design specifications, • Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities when needed Qualifications• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent • 8 years of Quality Engineering • Performance/GUI testing experience including use of third party tools (Empirix eTest / eLoad / LoadRunner / QTP) • Proficiency in SQL and database concepts • Experience with N-tier web application testing • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in Quality Engineering methodologies • Excellent analytical skills • Thorough knowledge of general industry standard Quality Assurance techniques as they apply to business project settings • Programming experience in multiple languages (Java, Perl, C/C++) a plus • Experience with business application including commercial CRM/Siebel systems a plus Company: The MathWorks, Inc.Reference Code: 6254 ©2006 The MathWorks, Inc.
