Performs moderately complex testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Communicates with sprint team members as part of an SCRUM development life cycle. Is responsible to the team to ensure team deliverables are met and works closely with other team members to reach objectives. Usually reports to the Quality Assurance/Testing Manager for administrative purposes. Typically requires four to five years of experience in development, research, or product testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Tests alpha and beta versions of the company's products.

Provides QA input and direction to the Sprint team to write and execute functional, application, regression, and performance tests.

Sets up test cases for assigned modules, builds test systems and automates tests under the direction of more senior analysts.

Assists with sending test plans created as part of the sprint to offshore teams for regression testing.

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in business or computer science. Typically requires four to five years of experience in development, research or product testing.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Good testing skills. Good understanding of the QA process. Good application/hardware devices/driver knowledge and use awareness. Able to accurately estimate task durations and meet schedules.

Equipment and Applications

PCs and various software applications.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

General office environment. Some stress may occur at times. No special physical demands required.
