Job Summary:Responsible for all aspects of QA test planning and test execution activities for assigned projects involving support for reimbursement, grouping and editing. This job will be located in either Salt Lake City, UT or Wallingford, CT. This includes participating in planning sessions to identify sequence and approach to release/sprint development, participating in design sessions to influence design based on testing needs, creating test cases (both manual and automated) and test data to certify that the specifications are satisfied, executing test cases (both manual and automated), reporting defects, developing test cases/test data to certify defect fixes and contributing to the Demo/Retrospective reviews. Another key role will be the development of automated scripts, running automated scripts and analyzing results. Responsibilities also include risk management, development of level of estimates for assigned work, participation in project planning, project status and/or sprint meetings and the participation in post-implementation reviews to identify and recommend solutions to close identified gaps. Will also be required to provide assistance to the Customer Support team to verify/reproduce reported issues. This position is located in Murray UT (Salt Lake City area) or Wallingford, CT. Minimum 1 year experience developing, executing and analyzing automated scripts for product testing.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and experience in Healthcare.Desire a candidate with previous experience in Healthcare industry with knowledge of grouping, editing and reimbursement functionality Ability to work well in a team enviroment and to foster a collaborative approach to work assignments; Keen negotiation skills; Ability to meet predefined deadlines and to prioritize work assignments to ensure deliverable dates are met; Timely identification of risks, risk mitigation strategies to team; Ability to multi-task with minimal direction while meeting aggressive project deadlines; Hands-on experience with Winrunner or Quick Test Pro. Preferred: Experience testing in one or more of the following operating systems: Windows, UNIX, SUN, AS400 and mainframe. Experience with Test Director, Telelogic tool suite. Qualified candidate must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever changing environment, be able to support multiple product releases concurrently while meeting all deliverable deadlines and have experience working with virtual teams. Smart Objectives:The following describes the most important objectives the person filling this position will need to meet within the first year in order to be successful in the position: Within 30 days: Support the QA team and show an understanding of the core products to demonstrate the ability to perform QA assignments with support from Lead. Participate in test execution, escalation of issues, and identification of defects. Complete training on administrative applications; continue training on component and products impacted by component. Within 60 days: Participate in component and product test case inspection, test execution to maintain or increase component and product knowledge; demonstrate ability to influence team direction based on knowledge of assigned components/products. Work with Requirements Analysts, Product Analysts, Software Engineers, Component Developers, and Quality Analysts to accomplish daily tasks in support of team/project goals. Identify potential automation projects including the documentation and prioritization of the projects. Demonstrate ability to get information needed to complete assignments to perform QA assignments independently and with minimal direction from Lead. Within 90 days: Provide timely feedback on component and product specifications and independently create test plans based on requirements/specifications. Identify, report and escalate problems found during the development process. Identify areas for automation and create automation for daily use. Attend New Employee Orientation, if available.
