Quality Assurance Analyst, Product

Description:

The Rosetta Stone Quality Assurance Department is seeking an experienced quality assurance professional to assist with the coordination and execution of testing on all product related projects. The candidate will work with the project development, management, and testing teams to ensure that the appropriate level of testing coverage is applied on all assigned projects.

 

 

Responsibilities:

·  Establish and maintain expert knowledge of Rosetta Stone products.

·  Assist with the design and execution of assigned product test plans and test cases.

·  Provide internal customers with project testing estimates as required.

·  Assist with the creation and maintenance of assigned product defect databases.

·  Help establish, maintain, and distribute assigned product testing/defect metrics.

·  Execute project test plans and compile documented results.

·  Help setup and maintain testing hardware/software environments spanning multiple platforms.

·  Assist in the planning and execution of manual and automated testing.

·  Work closely with the Software Test Lab by providing project related documentation, training, and mentoring.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

·  1-2 years experience with software testing.

·  Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·  Some experience with scripting languages.

·  High level of energy, and capable of generating enthusiasm and keeping motivation and morale high.

·  Some experience with MYSQL or other relational database.

·  Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.

·  Desire to be part of an agile software development team.

·  Strong, wide-ranging technical skills.

·  High level of team-building, listening, and interpersonal expertise.

·  Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving ability.

 

 

Desired Experience:

·  Knowledge of agile development methodologies – XP, Scrum a plus.

·  Experience with Linux, JavaScript, and Flash a plus.

·  Programming experience a plus (object oriented languages).
