Quality Assurance Technical Engineer 1

Location: Tempe, AZ 85284 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Expected Duration: 2+ to 5 Years Reference Code: 100979474 Job Summary: Testing environment setup and maintenance for the creation, execution and analysis of business test scripts for new development to ensure the technical solution meets the business requirements. Essential Functions:Testing environment set up and maintenance.Automation scripting, certification testing and performance testing. Executes test scripts to include positive, negative, regression and integration testing. Creates business test plans and script deliverables for complex projects; interviews other stakeholders to ensure all test scenarios are addressed.Assists in new development and product support by partnering with Application Development and the project team to gain a full understanding of business needs and requirements. Documents and analyzes test results to ensure the new code meets the business needs and requirements. Coordinates testing activities for designated programs; documents all testing information. Logs all issues; ensures issues are resolved timely and re-tested to confirm resolution; provides reporting of issues for tracking purposes. Benchmarks performance by writing test scripts, testing programs and applications; executing performance test of programs; interfacing with users. Mentors/Assists staff by providing guidance and technical expertise.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking best practices; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.Experience with web or client/server software testing.Experience with automated test tools preferred. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.Minimum of 3 years with UNIX based systems. Need to be able to write Perl and Shell Automation Scripts.Minimum of 3 years experience writing SQL queries is required for the UNIX based systems. Minimal experience and/or understanding of C++ code.Minimum of 3 years experience with testing Java/J2EE/.NET web applications. Minimum of 3 years experience in programming or software testing of IBM mainframe applications.
