iolo Technologies, LLC, is a dynamic software company producing top utilities software for Microsoft Windows. We have an immediate ENTRY-LEVEL opening in the Pasadena area for the position of Quality Assurance Tester. Ideal candidates should have strong understanding of the Windows Operating Systems, Testing skills and the willingness to learn.

Each Tester will be expected to be familiar with Software Testing Procedures and Quality Assurance Methodologies.  This Tester will also assist in problem solving and trouble shooting existing software for Development and Technical Support Teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with the QA Manager, Lead Tester, and other Testers to achieve a stable product. Identify, document, and track bugs, working closely with the Developers to ensure that bugs are fixed. Provide feedback and insight on errors and bugs. Provide appropriate product suggestions Perform Regression black box testing Work closely with other QA Testers to ensure that all aspects of the project are tested as required. Multitask between multiple projects (when necessary) Display a basic knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance methodology and testing procedures. Review content and publishable materials submitted by the technical writing staff for accuracy. Write and maintain test scripts and standards when applicable. Assist in the development of Quality Assurance standards. Run Automated Test Scripts as needed. Make suggestions for flow and process improvement in the Quality Assurance and SDLC processes. Participate in ongoing product specification talks with Development, QA, Tech Support, and Marketing. Perform other duties as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

•        Significant PC knowledge with a strong understanding of Windows    

•        Must be willing to learn new technology

•        Must be computer savvy with the ability to learn new software applications quickly

•        Must be able to comprehend information quickly

•        High energy and willingness to learn

•        Basic knowledge of personal computers and software, including Microsoft Windows 2000/XP (Vista experience a plus)

•        Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), organizational, and problem-solving abilities

•        Analytical and troubleshooting skills

•        Take ownership for problems and follow through to resolution

•        Works well independently and in a team environment

•        A positive outlook and desire to succeed

•        A working knowledge of reading, following and writing “Test Cases” a plus
