Responsibilities:

Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods/metrics to inspect and test in-process raw materials, assemblies, production equipment, and finished products.  Establishes, develops and maintains Quality related documents ensuring conformance to Ixia Quality System.  Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection and performance of incoming materials, in-process materials and finished goods materials both at Ixia and at Supply Chain partners.  The QA Engineer is responsible the administration of the corrective actions tools and processes.  Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.  Works closely with Manufacturing and other related departments to achieve quality goals and drive continuous improvement activities. 

 

Requirements:

· Minimum of 10 years in Quality Assurance position

· In depth experience in ISO/TL certification, New Product Introduction, administration of closed loop Quality systems

· Proven track record with direct customer interaction in identifying, understanding and resolving quality issues.

· Significant experience in driving quality up the supply chain, including turn-key Electronics Manufacturing Services providers, quality tracking, and corrective action processes.

· Oracle eBusiness suite familiarity.

· In depth knowledge of industry workmanship standards.

· Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

·  The person should be self motivated.

· Preferred candidates are black belt (Six Sigma) certified.

· Proficiency in data base and spreadsheet tools is a requirement.
