Description

Senior level engineer experienced in all facets and processes associated with the software development of real time weapon system programs. This includes requirements definition, design, code, test and inspection for various configurations of the tactical Weapons Direction System Mk-14 program and corresponding data reduction and simulation programs.

 

Must Haves

 

(1) Experienced with Military Standards used for the development of U.S. Navy systems.

(2) Proficiency with Weapon Directional System (WDS) Mk-14 architecture / components and various evolutions and baselines (US Navy & Korea KDX).

(3)  Proficiency with WDS Mk-14 Wrap-around Simulation Programming (WASP) architecture / components and evolutions for the USN and KDX baselines

(4) Proficiency with WDS Mk-14 associated tactical data extract and data reduction tools.

(5) Good working knowledge of the C++, CMS-2/Ultra 16 and ADA programming languages.

(6) MTASS and VX Works operating system experience.

(7) Familiarity with VME and associated infrastructure for data bus, board, and associated low level communications (TCP/IP) requirements.

(8) Familiarity with the development and test of Graphical User Interface (GUI) displays/controls using X windows technology and Motif.

(9) Good written and oral communications skills.

 

Prefer to Haves

 

(1) Ability to provide technical guidance and mentor junior level staff working new weapon system programs.
