Work with cross functional teams to understand and close all technical issues.Yield Management - ensure best industry practices are followed, review test and process flows and ensure a high quality product is shipped to customers. Ensure product is upgraded to latest versions according to product changes and traceable throughout product lifecycle.Capacity Planning: Ensure refurb process allows for capacity planning in accordance to opearations planning. Ensure best process flow which enables smooth repair and high quality product to customers.Reporting- Participate on understanding field issues and corrective action.- Work with refurb centers and SQE's to develop a weekly reporting matrix for Yields, Test Optimization and Factory escalations.Global Standardization: Manage the global refurbishment program to standardize manufacturing or refurbishing processes and ensure products leaving the refurb centers meet customer expectations and are free of defects.Oversee local resources and provide guidance and leadership in optimizing systems and processes. Work cross functionally with various teams such as Test and Quality engineering to achieve results.Ensure all sites follow Apple specified protocols and deliver on key metrics.Leadership to drive Annual Failure Rate (AFR) to below 2.5% (Desktop)Understand the failure mechanism and fall out and take steps to understand, manage, mitigate and communicate issues.Work closely with PQM to manage the pre-alert, quality alert and ship hold at all global sites. Present Yield Data to the WW Operations Management in an easy to understand and actionable format.JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Contacts pertain to significant matters often involving coordination among groups.SUPERVISION: Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise the activities of others.EXPERIENCE: BSEE or Equivalent Degree and typically requires a minimum of 10 to 12+ years of related experience. At this level, graduate coursework may be preferred.KNOWLEDGE: Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
