Regional Director, Customer Development
Position Objective:
Develop the the company’s revenue through new and add-on sales to MedAssets Revenue Management customers.
Primary Job DutiesWork with MedAssets sales organization and client services to develop and implement strategic sales plans for the sale of add-on products and services to current customers. Travel to customers extensively to improve customer relationships, sell additional products and services, and assist in securing the contract renewals of existing customer contracts. Meets or exceed designated financial goals and objectives.Works with others within the company (i.e., implementation, finance, sales administration) to assure timely and accurate implementation of new accounts.Keeps customers apprised of changes within MedAssets product and service portfolios and introduces customers to the products and services that will serve to improve the customer’s financial health. Creates and maintains a positive image of the company by building positive business relationships with internal and external customers, business partners, and employees.Explores new sales opportunities by analyzing competitive information and establishing courses of action to obtain new business.Maintains frequent communications and coordinates all significant sales activities with the “account owner” and the senior sales management team. Remains knowledgeable on changes in the healthcare field and a detailed understanding of Revenue Management product suite. Performs other tasks and projects as needed.
Minimum Knowledge and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years healthcare experience, preferably in the revenue cycle management field. Sales and/or account management experience is a plus. Current familiarity with the MedAssets solutions is also a plus.Position requires the ability to conduct in-depth discussions regarding the healthcare revenue cycle and MedAssets solutions with potential customers and business partners. Must be able to meet and establish positive working relationships with all levels of potential customers from chargemaster managers, to business office directors, to C-level leaders. Must be able to clearly articulate the value of MedAssets’ products and services in multiple forms (written and verbal communication to formal presentations.) Must be able to close sales within prescribed timeframes and achieve quota for sales. Excellent communication and presentation skills required. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, honed diplomacy skills, strong customer service skills, the ability to get along with diverse individuals, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and the ability to understand and solve complex healthcare financial issues. Must be able to manage the tasks of multiple people and projects. Must work well under pressure. Must have the ability to take initiative, make sound business decisions, and work independently without direct supervision.
· Position requires extensive travel (up to 75%)

Ensure concerns with internal control design or performance are communicated to management. Ensure process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management. Participate in the internal controls self assessment process. Assist with internal control failure remediation efforts.
