Regional Resource Manager

Member of the North America People team, and integral member of the North America Resource Management team, with direct responsibilities for the Central Region.


Responsible for the  with direct responsibilities  and to work with the North America management team to make sure that we make the best staffing decisions, balancing the needs of consultants, clients and ThoughtWorks.

 

Responsibilities

-  Partner with Regional leader  on staffing and people issues

o Current projects- work closely with Client Principals and Project Managers

o Demand / New Projects – partner with sales organization

o Managing priorities – escalate staffing conflicts and facilitate decision making

o Make staffing decisions in collaboration with NA RM team

o Support other regions as needed

o Update internal systems as needed, ensuring integrity of data

-  Leverage Regional skill mix

-  Manage Regional People Pool

-  Client visits (interaction with TWers)

o Individual meetings with Consultants

o Coaching PMs/CPs (team issues)

o Team building

-  Pair in managing performance issues for the Region

-  New hire session, prepare and deliver training as needed

-  Develop effective working relationships with internal departments as well as professional services staff

-  Have an understanding of project delivery in a software environment. Experience working on software delivery projects is an added advantage

-  Have the energy, patience and drive to adapt to an ever changing business environment and deliver results

-  Understanding of the technical roles and skills that are needed on technical projects - experience in a software delivery role will be advantageous

-  Understanding of business impact of staffing decisions - staffs with an eye to revenue maximization

-  Excellent communication skills across a wide range of people

-  Assertive yet nurturing and able to have difficult discussions

-  Creative problem solving skills and flexibility to find different solutions - willing to go the extra mile to get the right solution

-  Strong planning, data analysis and organizational skills

-  Able to balance the needs of different stakeholders effectively

-  Able to travel as needed to ThoughtWorkers based in North American clients and other ThoughtWorks offices
