About the opportunity…
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, North America, the Regional Sales Director must have a proven track record in successfully leading a team in the selling of retail applications and technology into medium to large general merchandise and specialty retailers. Experienced in prospecting, developing opportunities, and closing business in a defined geography, the Regional Sales Director must be well connected at the “C” and “VP” levels of the defined target markets. The Regional Sales Director must demonstrate skills in following a well structured sales methodology, ability to sell into these large retailers, experience dealing with focused solution strategies for success, and a track record of successful leadership.
o Development and execution of territory business plans
o Proven success in increasing top line sales
o A team motivator, able to establish a strong and credible sales pipeline within a defined region.
o Responsible for achieving and maintaining sales quota.
o Demonstrate a solid approach to the sales process with creativity and vision
o Be well organized and disciplined in your approach to business
o Ability to build relationships with account sponsors and final decision makers.
o Quickly qualify opportunities and key strategic positions for each new prospect

What to bring to the table…
o 5 – 7 years of sales leadership experience (retail sector specific preferred)
o Strong network that can be leveraged to build pipeline
o Competitive knowledge
o Experience in closing one or more applications in the Merchandise, Planning, Supply Chain and/or Store areas of automation.
o Some technical background as it relates to retail enterprise topology, middleware and development environment whether they are .Net or J2EE.
o Proficient understanding of both Store and Enterprise application dependencies as they relate to the solutions and the respective retail business flow.
o Proven track record of meeting sizeable quotas consistently
o Excellent communications skills – verbal and written
o Position requires travel throughout North America.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Ability to travel 50-70% of the time
Education…
o 4 year+ college degree strongly preferred
