Remedy Developer

Apex Systems is currently seeking a Sr. Remedy Developer for a position in Arlington, VA.  Candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible to obtain, or already holding, a DoD clearance.

Specific Job Description: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.The applicant must be able to perform customizations to the out of the box applications (ITSM) as well as custom built applications. The candidate should be able to create and modify active links, filters, menus and escalations according to business rules. The applicant should be well versed in documentation procedures and the requirement-gathering concept. This candidate must be able to hold at least a DoD Secret clearance.

Specific Requirements: Ability to develop complex custom applications using the AR System, Experience integrating multiple AR system applications and third party applications, Extensive hands on experience with Action Request (Remedy) System 6.X Experience of gathering end-user requirements and translating them into Remedy (AR) system functions, Experience with relational databases, Demonstrated ability to be customer focused with the ability to handle difficult user problems. Applicant should have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing). Applicant must have the ability to troubleshoot complex workflow in a timely manner. Experience in the software development lifecycle -- requirements analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation and ongoing support.

Required Skills: Strong working knowledge in: Remedy ITSM 5.6, Remedy Server 6.3, Mid-Tier

Desired Skills: Remedy Custom Development, Remedy DSO, Remedy EIE, UNIX, and Experience with third party applications (e.g. NETCOOL)
