Column Technologies is seeking Remedy/ITSM Field Trainers. 

Objectives:  Gather customer requirements necessary to create detail custom training guides, labs, presentations, etc… Also to deliver training material to customers at either Column or customer locations

Field Trainer Competencies

Qualified candidates must have a demonstrable grasp of the following concepts and practices:

 

Responsibilities Draft application and process specific training documentation  Conduct requirements gathering workshops around training needs and deliverables Communicate strategies and best practices for training in the customer environment Design custom or product-based training guides, job aides, labs, slides, etc… Demonstrate BMC Remedy ITSM suite to customers Respond to customer requests for training information and guidance Estimate level of effort to design or train on BMC Remedy product suite Draft proposals and statements of work for training solutions Provide technical assistance in a pre-sales capacity to scope training opportunities

CommunicationFacilitate team and client meetings effectively. Keep project team/project manager well informed of changes within the organization. Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors. Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized training classes. Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Technical Understanding Ability to create and execute training plans and revise as appropriate to meet customer changing needs and requirements. Effectively apply our methodology and enforces training standards. Minimize our exposure and risk on project. Ability to determine training path best suited for customer environmentPossesses a thorough understanding of Column Technologies product and services capabilities. Understand the logistics involved with ITSM projects Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements. Experience with the following BMC Remedy modules as an administrator or trainerIncident ManagementProblem ManagementChange ManagementAsset ManagementService Level Management Knowledge and experience with ITIL and other IT Best Practices frameworks (ideally, Foundations-certified) (also good: Six Sigma, CMMI, other methodologies)

Candidates must be willing and able to:Work remotely (usually from home) or on Client Sites much or most of the time, coordinating with managers and colleagues who are dispersed over a wide geographic areaTravel approximately 60 - 80% of the time Take, at company expense, training classes in Remedy software implementation and administration, and - if not already certified - take classes for and pass the ITIL Foundations examination
