Remittance Processor

 REMITTANCE PROCESSOR I  SCANA, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking exceptional part-time associates for our team in the Remittance department of the SCE&G facility in Cayce, SC. We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented, high-energy employees with an enthusiasm for customer satisfaction to process remittance and related correspondence from SCANA customers.  Duties for this Remittance Processor I position include (but are not limited to): Ø  Processing, balancing and keying a variety of mail-in and electronic payments for various SCANA companies into a Windows-based Customer Information System (CIS),Ø  Handling returned mail to include correcting addresses on bills/notices in CIS and re-mailing;Ø  Scanning and indexing correspondence in to CIS; Ø  Ensuring deposit deadlines are met daily;Ø  Maintaining hardware and software upgrades to all third party vendorsØ  Active participation in Emergency and Business Recovery efforts during system failures and natural disasters Qualified candidates will possess: A High School diploma or equivalent; Experience in customer service and/or cash balancing in a business environment; Proficiency in data entry, 10-key calculator, and navigating in Windows applications; A high degree of integrity; Outstanding communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members; A passion for detail; The desire to work part-time (30.5 hours/week) on one of the two following shifts: 7am-2pm Monday/Tuesday; 7am-12:30pm Wednesday-Friday 7am-2pm Monday/Friday, 7am-12:30pm Tuesday-Thursday  This opportunity offers a competitive salary and excellent career advancement potential within SCANA Corporation.  Though this position is working directly for SCANA, we have partnered with Spherion, a leading staffing and recruiting firm, to assist us with the screening process for these positions.
