Report Writer

I am looking for an experience Report Writer.  This role will be the liaison, middle man between the IT Team (Developers) and other business units/end users.   We are looking for someone with experience in either Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services.  Someone without any experience with either of those technologies doesn't seem like someone who could be successful in a position that requires the implementation and use of the packages.   This role will be highly visible and involved in the selection of a Reporting Tool/Program.  You, along with the Director of Application Development, will select the type of Report Package that they purchase.  The reason we haven't chosen isn't because we don't have an opinion; it's because we want the person who fills this role to help us choose the one that makes the most sense given their experience. But someone who has just provided text-based results is really not a differentiation from JUST a DBA. Requirements/Tasks Hands on experience with and ability to provide examples of your work related to SSRS or Crystal Report specifications the reports themselves SQL/stored procedure code database diagrams, etc.).  They want a report generator along with someone to back up the DBA.  The DBA used to be the sole developer.  They had a 3 table ER diagram and ask you to write a script to extract data (from scratch).
