Logical Information Machines (LIM) provides data, research software and data warehouse services to the financial, energy and investment communities. LIM is a dynamic, rapidly growing company with offices in Austin, Chicago, Houston, New York, and London.

LIM has an immediate opening for a Research Analyst in the Client Support Department in our Austin, Texas office. Primary responsibilities will include providing premier Client Service while assisting our user base (hedge funds, investment banks, global banks and large oil/gas concerns) in accomplishing their trading strategy goals via our database, historical analysis tools and related trading applications. This will involve troubleshooting the implementation of their trading strategies and analytical queries using our software tools, Client education and working with other departments within the company to resolve Client problems.

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with strong organizational, communication and documentation skills, well developed interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and an eye for detail.  Ideal candidates will show an ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a group, as needed.

Position requirements: A minimum of 2-3 years of Client/Customer Service, preferably in technology or software support. 

Successful candidates should have a Bachelors degree in economics, finance or computer science, and a comprehensive understanding of economics, finance and statistics.  Advanced computer skills, including a familiarity with VB, C++, and Java are a definite plus.

Travel both domestic and international may be required.
