Revenue Accountant - Professional Services Key Areas of Responsibility:

 

·  Responsible for revenue recognition of RNT Professional Services, including accurate and timely tracking and maintenance of customer level activity using complex Excel spreadsheets, recognition of revenue in ERP system Softrax, and customer statement generation using Crystal Reports

·  Ensure data integrity of professional services revenue spreadsheets through process control review and improvement, periodic transaction audits and reconciliation to system reports and financials

·  Key participant in professional services revenue process improvements and automation

·  Primary liaison between Professional Services and Sales Accounting, requiring frequent communication with Sales and Operations

·  Assist with financial analysis of Professional Services revenue

·  Prepare reports using Softrax, Professional Services software QuickArrow, Crystal Reports and Excel

·  Perform other related tasks or special projects as needed

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance

2+ years working in accounting/finance environment with software revenue recognition experience preferred

Working Knowledge of database, spreadsheet, word processing and accounting software (Previous Great Plains, Quick Arrow and/or Softrax experience a plus)

 

Skill Set:

Must be self starter, able to work and problem solve independently and take ownership of areas of responsibility

Ability to analyze spreadsheets and delve into system and project detail is essential to this position

Strong organization and communication skills

 

Physical Demands:

The duties of this job require the employee to regularly perform repetitive hand and wrist movements at a computer keyboard. Employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time. Close vision is required for PC work.
