Flash Developer

As a Rich Media Developer at Publicis Modem, you will be responsible for structuring and building a wide range of interactive experiences, games, websites and Rich Internet Applications on the Flash Platform. You'll get the chance to work with the biggest brands in the world and best industry talent on award winning, high-visibility projects.

Job Experience

§ 1+ years of Flash programming experience in an agency environment

§ Expertise in ActionScript 2.0

§ Proficient in code-based animation

§ Experience with ActionScript 3.0

§ Basic understanding of Object Oriented Programming techniques, RIA architectures, knowledge of design patterns

§ Knowledgeable in client/server data integration (FlashVars, XML, URL encoded name/value pairs)

§ Knowledgeable about tricks, workarounds and limitations of the Flash Player

§ Understanding of theories related to interface design, usability and interactivity

§ Must have strong performance optimization skills and the ability to help guide creative team towards sound creative solutions for Flash

§ Knowledge of technical requirements definition and technical design process

§ Educated in development methodologies and best practices

§ HTML, JavaScript and CSS development experience a plus


Education

§ A Bachelor’s degree required, preferably a Bachelor’s of Science in a technology or computer related discipline




Skills

§ Codes consistently and to documented standards and specifications

§ Works closely with project team to construct layout and organization of Web solutions

§ Accurately estimates his/her tasks and manages multiple deliverables simultaneously

§ Able to prioritize tasks, multitask and manage time effectively

§ Manages and documents coding standards and issues

§ Responsible for unit testing of code and peer reviews

§ Provides meticulous attention to detail when working with art directors and integrating media assets such as design, motion graphics, video, and sound

§ Able to develop relationships with client project team members

§ Occasional travel to client sites to perform development work
