SAP Global Delivery Leader

JOB DESCRIPTION: The SAP Global Delivery Manager is accountable for managing a group of technical and general support staff to deliver Think, Build & Support services to Oil & Gas, Utilities, Life Sciences and Other customers. The manager must develop staffing projections and manage employee and contractor assignments to meet project requirements and support existing programs. He or she is responsible for providing direction to SAIC employees, contractors consistent with established policies and management guidance, administering company policies that directly affect subordinate employees, recommending changes to unit or sub-unit policies, and for continually refreshing the skill base of employees for new technology and to infuse lessons learned across the organization. The SAP Delivery Manager will report directly to the Enterprise Applications Leader and will be directly accountable for delivering service at contracted levels with the lowest possible cost while maintaining appropriate quality. He or she will work with other Application Managers and the Projects Manager to identify ongoing scope and service needs to project staffing requirements, coordinate process development and implementation, and infuse lessons learned. Manages up to 20 reports consisting of Subject Matter Experts, both business, and technical staff including SAIC employees and subcontractors. In summary, the candidate will have responsibilities including: 1) Customer satisfaction 2) Solution Development 3) Project Management from end to end. 4) Supporting New Business Development, 5) Growing Existing Business EDUCATION: Required - Bachelor's Degree in business, management, accounting, finance, computer science, engineering, or related field. Higher level degree preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS: The job requires knowledge of the customers needs, language, technology, culture, and approach to business issues. Specific experience with energy, public sector and/or healthcare industries is desirable. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop and present proposals for our services. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with peers, customers, and vendor representatives. Other requirements include: - At least seven (7) years experience in technology management - At least five (5) years experience in energy, public sector and/or healthcare industries. Demonstrated ability to effectively motivate and direct a team of business, technical, and support staff. He or she must have strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills; the ability to gain internal support; to operate independently without supervision or feedback; and the ability to establish a solid working relationship, technical staff, managers, peers and customers. Minimum of 12 years experience working on projects and programs in positions of increasing responsibility. Proven ability in developing and executing opportunities - Proven track-record with managing and delivering on budget - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Fast-learner; able to pick up new skills quickly - Good troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills - Flexible; willing and able to move between multiple diverse tasks as necessary - Able to work independently; self-motivated. DESIRED SKILLS: Specific hands-on experience with Multiple Modules of SAP software products. Also knowledge of Netweaver SOA integration is desirable.
