SAP Payroll Configuration Lead

Industry leading provider of business process outsourcing services is searching for an SAP Payroll Configuration Lead.

 

The SAP Payroll Configuration Lead will be responsible for acting as a systems consultant to HR and Payroll Operations working closely with business process owners to plan, design and implement process driven solutions.  The SAP Payroll configuration Lead’s responsibilities include design, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and overall support of the SAP Payroll module.

 

The qualified SAP Payroll candidate will join our SAP Services team which supports our internal SAP system as well as other HR systems interfacing with SAP (i.e. Time Collection systems).  The following SAP HR modules are currently implemented:  PA (Personnel Administration), OM (Organizational Management), BN (Benefits), and PY (Payroll). 

 

Principal ResponsibilitiesReport to the HR and Payroll Systems ManagerGather and analyze business requirements from SMEs, document functional/technical requirements, develop and recommend solutions and identify any potential process changes affectedPerform functional design for new projects and enhancements to existing projectsDevelop functional and technical specifications for system changesPerform system configuration for SAP Payroll moduleManage internal or third party programming/development activitiesProvide production support for SAP Payroll by utilizing troubleshooting skillsCreate plans and lead QA/test activities for all configuration/development activitiesAdminister user support documentation and provide training and coaching to end usersEnsure adherence to change control policies and adherence to audit and legislative guidelinesMaintain project schedules and manage progress toward final solution and resultsMaintain project communications with process owners, project sponsors, and management within SAP Services

 

QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceAt least 6 years experience in the configuration of SAP US and Canadian Payroll. (Must have Canadian payroll experience!)Minimum experience of 3 full life cycle projectsExperience with the integration of Payroll and FI/COStrong knowledge of payroll operations for US and CanadaExperience in QA/testing, go live, and production supportDemonstrated proficiency of systems analysis tools and methodologiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a multi-tasked environmentAbility to travel to other sites as neededAbility to work some evenings and weekends
