SAP Project Manager WM IM PP

Provide Project Management leadership in the area of SAP's Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Production Planning systems support.  The position will work closely with the company’s Global Parts Distribution organization, Quality's Remanufacturing sites, the Company’s SAP Center of Excellence organization and vendor supplied outsourced IT resources. 

 

Responsibilities coming in:Will Support Parts Distribution facilities SAP IT NeedsSupport Parts Distribution and Remanufacturing SAP configuration and relevant interfacesSupport customer enhancement requests and business process changes Will be responsibile to configure a warehouse and modify most aspects of the configuration

Technical Skills:SAP Configuration specifically WM/PPProject management process and tool knowledge

 

o Develop an Information Technology strategy to assist Parts Distribution in meeting their needs for improved operations productivity and customer service.  Provide practical support to teams to facilitate the development of program and project documentation. Work closely with business leaders to ensure that Information Technology direction is aligned with business initiatives.  Work with other IS&S lead counterparts to develop, manage and deploy a roadmap of Information Technology projects that fulfils the full breadth of information technology for company.

 

o Provide vendor management and oversight in an IT outsourced environment.  Work closely with Operations Management, to optimize the operation and provide world class services to the internal client base.

 

o Manage projects consistent with CMMI practices in an outsourced model by overseeing use of third party support services.  Work with business to plan and define business requirements, perform vendor evaluation, manage third party suppliers through design, build and deployment of functionality. Evaluate deliverables provided by contract resources including system specifications, data modeling, system design and architecture, implementation plans, testing and final installation.

 

o Fulfill departmental requirements for reporting, budgeting, personal development, etc.  RequiredSAP Configuration of IM/WM/PP experienceDemonstrated ability to lead and work in a large, cross-functional, matrixed organizationCandidates must have 3+ years experience in leading SAP development projectsFive years experience in information technology supporting manufacturing, planning, distribution, inventory management systemsEmployment history of successful IT project implementations with ever increasing project scopes using formal PM methodologyUnderstand material flow from receipt to shipment conceptsUnderstand scheduling through production order completion for kittingUS Citizenship or Permanent Resident RequiredBachelor of Science -Computer Science, Math or Engineering Master of Science - Computer Science or related field (preferred)

 Preferred skills: Candidates should have 7 years of business experience in a systems development and implementation role.  They should have a track record of successful systems implementation.Ability to learn business process and SAP/IT solutions to support the business Demonstrated knowledge of CMMI practicesPractical experience configuring SAP MM/PP modules.Five years experience in managing multiple IT providers in an outsourced services modelCandidates should be a self-starter capable of leading a large team through complex systems implementations. Candidates should be well organized and capable of juggling numerous project priorities.
