SCADA Computer Technicain

The Santa Margarita Water District in southern Orange County has an opening for a SCADA tech. This position performs a variety of technically oriented tasks in the installation, operation and maintenance of the District’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.  Responsible for networking, security administration, software installation, software upgrades on the District’s SCADA system. Must be a self-starter interested in learning the water/wastewater industry.

Some of the duties include:


--Relocate and set-up servers, workstations, firewalls, and internet security equipment
--Maintain Terminal Server, Application Server and SQL Server

--Install and upgrade Windows 2003, Windows XP, Human Machine Interface (HMI) software, alarm page out and voice call in software
--Train district personal on the operation workstations and remote monitoring of the SCADA system

--Perform backup on the SCADA system

--Maintain library of manuals, license agreements, license upgrades, and product warranty information

--Inventory SCADA equipment
