SENIOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER

Sharp Laboratories of America Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Developer.

 

The successful candidate in this position will be a member of the technical staff supporting the Sharp Open Systems Architecture (OSA). OSA enables business solutions through web services integration between Sharp multifunction peripherals and networked software applications. This position is part of the Digital Imaging Systems Department.

 

Responsibilities of this position include the following:Implementation of a toolkit to integrate Sharp Open Systems (OSA) platform with business web applications and .NET Workflow Foundation. Perform within the development and target platform of C#/Microsoft .NET.Function as part of a team, in an Agile environment at designing, implementing and testing various components of the toolkit, and creating sample applications and documentation.

Requirements for this position include:Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field 4 years experience in Microsoft .NET environment and C# language Firm understanding of .NET framework, including ASP.NET Experience with design, writing quality code, documentation, automated test cases and ability to contribute in code reviews. Solid understanding and use of object-oriented methodologies e.g. UML, design patterns, Enterprise Library, or other frameworks Knowledge and experience with Agile processes Demonstrated significant contributions in a team environment, in a medium-size project, following established software engineering and project practices Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with positive interactions with other team members.

Preference: Previous experience with implementing and consuming web servicesWF and WCF experienceSharePoint API (WSS 3.0)Experience with ASP.NET: server controls, HTTP modules, providersDemonstrated experience with source controls, especially ClearCase Previous experience designing, implementing and deploying class libraries in .NET
