SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, APPLICATIONS (#095-M)
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Developing software at Fulcrum demands a wide set of interests and abilities, spanning most of the software-firmware-hardware spectrum, and in return provides exposure to almost every step in bringing product to market.
Fulcrum is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work in a variety of domains, including embedded software targeting Fulcrum’s cutting edge silicon, application network stack software working with advanced networking protocols, and automated SQA tests for all of Fulcrum’s software. This position covers a wide-range of software development from OS specific kernel level work to highly complex application level services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following criteria:A B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus a minimum of 5 years experience developing embedded systems. Expertise in C is required, with knowledge of Perl, Java and C++ preferred.Must be knowledgeable in Ethernet and TCP/IP with experience building networking products. Experience working with large software systems is a must, and a familiarity with concurrency issues dealing with large systems is preferred. Linux programming expertise strongly preferred. Knowledge of Verilog and ASIC Verification of high-speed networking interfaces (such as Ethernet GMII, XGMII, SERDES or XAUI) is a plus. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
