SOFTWARE / CONTROLS ENGINEER

Gloucester Engineering Co., Inc .founded in 1961 is a leading global supplier of integrated plastics processing equipment, and specialists in the design and engineering of extrusion systems. Headquartered in Gloucester, Massachusetts is currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated Software/Controls Engineer to design and develop computer control systems for the plastic extrusion machinery industry. 


This position is responsible for development of control logic as required for the extrusion machinery process. Suggestion of new ideas and concepts for continued improvement. Providing documentation and testing support.


 


Requirement include:


BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering


5+ years in a Capital Machinery manufacturing environment or related industry


Industrial Ethernet network experience for distributed control and I/O


Must have HMI/SCADA experience, preferably with Wonderware Intouch


Strong background in PC hardware and computer maintenance


Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems


Demonstrated proficiency in a programming language


Solid debugging experience


Strong organizational skills
