Responsibilities: 

Responsible for new products and systems including system design, documentation, implementation and test of the software/firmware.

 

Performs PC- based Graphical User Interface (GUI) design/development utilizing commercial off the shelf (COTS) and custom processor boards, I/O Modules and other hardware in PC-based embedded design environment. Utilizes WindRIver Tornado, VxWorks operating system and PC-based GUI design using Visual C++.

 

Converts customer specifications interfacing with the digital and analog/RF design efforts to insure overall system confirmation to the requirements.

Conducts and/or participates in design reviews of the detail designs.

 

Ensures the system test meets customer specifications.

 

 Qualifications: 

BSEE or BS/Computer Science and previous experience as Design Engineer, preferably in Avionics, Radar, Communications, or WE programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.



 



This position requires significant previous experience in embedded processor applications and an in depth proficiency with C++ and VxWorks is required.

 

Ethernet, Mil-Std 1553, RS 232/422, GUI and Visual C++ experience preferred.

Prior Radar Experience is a plus.Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance U.S. CITIZENSHIP - REQUIRED
