SOFTWARE ENGINEER - VERIFICATION

 

YTC America Inc., a research and development center, seeks a talented and committed individual in the area of design validation/verification for embedded applications. The company is building a core competency in advanced software design and verification for real-time embedded systems. Current projects include automotive electronic systems and vision-based driver assistance systems in transportation vehicles. The deliverables of the job have the potential to make a major impact for the organization. The candidate coming in will need to take the initiative, get hands-on, and assist in defining and developing the verification methodology. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of verification test procedures for embedded system products. This includes the development of a test plan based on the software requirements, test case design, test procedure development, and test harness design, as well as participating in software process activities such as peer reviews, tool integration, and configuration management. The software group is committed to development of new technologies and products in the area of Automotive Electronic systems to support Yazaki businesses worldwide.

 

Position requires at least a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline and at least 5-7 years of experience in software development.  Candidate must be skilled in C, C++, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, vision-based testing concepts, scripting languages, software process automation tools and must have used them for verification in an embedded application environment. Candidate should be familiar with requirements based verification/testing strategies for embedded products and have a working knowledge of hardware/software analysis tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, emulators, etc.). Experience should include hands-on participation in all levels of verification activities.
