RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Responsible for software builds and release management.

§ Responsible for the design and development of builds, scripts, and installation procedures.

§ Work closely with quality assurance team to ensure software releases meet company standards.

§ Design, develop and enhance framework and tools to automate build and release processes.

§ Create and maintain SCM/CM, release documentation.

§ Communicate and collaborate with development team, QA and management to support project requirements.

§ Work with other developers to set standards and define best practices for design and maintenance.

§ Share the knowledge and work experience you've gained working in a related industry.

§ Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

§ 2+ years hands-on experience in a commercial software development environment.

§ Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems. Perforce experience desired.

§ Proven experience with design, development and test automated build and deployment scripts.

§ Knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.

§ Experience with build management tools (nmake, msbuild, ant).

§ Experience building C++ and Java applications.

§ Programming experience in C or C++ and working knowledge of one or more of the following languages: Java, PHP, Python, Perl, Macromedia/Flash, Javascript, DHTML, bash/sh

§ Knowledge of wireless mobile device software development a plus.

§ Desire to engage in extremely challenging assignments.  Must show commitment and ownership for the release process and results. Will have to meet strict and numerous deadlines.

§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong collaborative skills, and strong aesthetic values.

§ Self-managed, proactive work style.  Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 

§ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
