SQL Database Architect / Lead

Our client, is a leader in their industry, and currently has a direct Hire opportunity for a Data Architect/ Lead in the Baltimore area. The Data Architect candidate must have a strong knowledge of database architecture and data warehousing, within enterprise networks. Contribute to the planning, design and implementation of the overall data architecture for enterprise applications development and system integration projects. Qualified candidates: * 4+ years of experience coding/optimizing/analyzing Transact-SQL on Microsoft SQL Server platform in a multi-server high-availability production database environment. * Must have a wide range of database skills: DTS, SSIS, Data Warehousing, Reporting Services and Microsoft Analysis services is a must. * Experience designing ETL processes. * Hands-on experience with relational databases, data warehouse structures/methodologies and design/development. * Optimization and tuning of SQL for application performance * Candidates should posses experience in medium to large data warehouse environments. * Experience with Business Intelligence tools. * Passion for data. * Strong debugging/problem solving and analytical skills are required. * Project Management Experience a plus.
