BUSINESS ANALYST What you’ll be doing: Write requirements gathered from the user community and internal stakeholders Designs solutions that incorporate industry best practices for internet application design, usability, and data security Facilitate requirements review sessions, working to achieve closure on the correct requirements Participate in design reviews to ensure that designs accurately reflect requirements Serve as an expert on and advocate for business and functional requirements to developers and QA personnel Train trainers and technical users on new functionality in applications Log and resolve issues in a timely manner Recommend business process reengineering efforts associated with the ongoing automation of manual tasks Create user documentation for technical users Create technical documentation where necessary Reviews detailed product specifications and UI work created by the team to ensure compliance with internal standards for product and interface design. Stay abreast of product roadmap items to be used in project prioritization and resource allocation. Ensure that UI enhancements and ongoing client work is performed within established timelines and budget Collaborate with technical architects on technical design details, to include review and input as it relates to meeting the functional design objectives and to ensure proper integration to the back-end messaging and functional capabilities. Uses inputs from technology and operations teams to determine appropriate solution and course of action. Streamline product design processes to reduce delivery time, increase project throughput, and reduce product delivery costs. Serve as escalation point for immediate team members. What you’ll need: 4-6 years work experience Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting requirements, including business requirements, use cases, functional requirements, and business rules Experience with regression, integration, and functional testing Ability to follow all company policies and procedures as well as internal departmental procedures to ensure consistency Ability to investigate and assess issues to make certain the correct solution is implemented Ability to assist customers in distinguishing difference between preferences and needs Ability to effectively manage customer (internal and external) expectations Excellent listening skills Excellent communications and writing skills to communicate clear specifications to internal resources Continuing education attitude to remain up-to-date on changing technologies Bachelors degree required Willingness to take ownership for own work to continuously improve performance Workforce management software experience is required Retail industry experience is a plus Support sales efforts as required including some travel. Able to deal with a steady stream of conflicting requests. Possesses sense of urgency and high energy level which allows them to react to situations quickly and decisively Possesses indomitable work ethic which allows them to reject setbacks and enthusiastically persist until ambitious goals are achieved.
