Salary 75k to 110k

The key here is JAVA-QTP SQL, PERL or Python, ANT, JUNIT-J2EE Testing, UI Server side testing, Any mobile technology is a huge plus!



Sr-Principal QA Engineer

Responsibilities

* Analyze Product Requirements and Functional Specifications to create detailed test plans/test cases
* Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software
* Own a set of features/functional areas/projects from requirements phase through release
* Identify and isolate defects, write accurate, concise and reproducible bug reports
* Provide timely and meaningful test result updates to team. Provide resource/time estimates for all testing activities. Create Certification reports
* Establish collaborative relationships with Project Managers and Software Development Engineers to ensure success of project test phases
* Investigate viability/applicability of (open source) frameworks/tools to increase test efficiency/coverage
* Develop/enhance internal tools to augment/automate appropriate tests


Requirements

* Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum
* Well-versed in UNIX highly desirable, specifically Red Hat Enterprise
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Adapt quickly to new technologies
* Ability to grasp the 'big picture' and understand complex systems from end-to-end
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Team player - ability to work closely and productively with Development, Project Management and Support teams
* Ability to quickly comprehend project goals/requirements, identify holes/omissions and testing challenges/impediments
* Experience testing Enterprise-grade applications on J2EE and/or .NET technology platforms required
* Experience testing clustered, failover/high availability systems desirable
* Experience testing applications without a UI/server side technologies required
* Experience scripting in a language like Python/Ruby/Perl required
* Solid SQL skills (joins, etc) required
* Experience with test automation tools, scripted testing required
* Experience with Ant and Unit test frameworks (e.g. JUnit/XMLUnit) helpful
* Experience with open source automation tools (e.g. Selenium/Watir/Fitnesse) helpful
* Experience in mobile technology industry (i.e. SMS/MMS, WAP, J2ME/BREW, etc) helpful
* 8+ yrs professional QA experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
* Familiarity with the software development life cycle and a strong working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
* Experience creating test plans, test cases
* Experience with white box, black box, functional, regression, performance, and exploratory testing
