STRUCTURAL LOADS ENGINEER

A structural loads engineer is needed to evaluate aircraft-store configurations to determine structural load limits in support of the SEEK EAGLE certification process. This individual will be a member of a team that plans and monitors structural loads ground tests, supports flight tests, conducts analyses, researches data, runs and edits computer modeling and simulation programs, and writes justification to support flight certification recommendations. This person Interfaces with customer representatives at all levels to understand complex systems requirements and transform them into descriptions of system performance parameters. He/she will review technical reports, third party analyses, and other data sources to predict and analyze both inertial and aerodynamic loads for aircraft suspension equipment and stores throughout a requested envelope to support flight clearances.Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required, with Master's and Ph.D. Degrees desired, in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering, or Physics, Mathematics, or related fieldMinimum of eight years of general experience in compatibility engineering, aircraft-store structural loads and vibration test and analysis, or related aircraft-store development, modeling and simulation, or testing fieldsAt least six years of specific experience is required in engineering analyses and testing for aircraft structural loads to include ground and flight test support, test data reduction, and modeling and simulationExtensive knowledge of aircraft, weapons, suspension equipment, flight mechanics, and structural dynamics Experience with computer-based analysis tools, word processing, formal presentation development, and electronic information exchange utilizing PCs and associated peripherals to include printers, scanners, and compact disk drivesUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.
