SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Job Responsibilities:

 

·  Installation and support of virtual server environments, server hardware, operating systems, SAN technologies, tape libraries and related equipment in support of the company’s development and quality assurance environments.

·  Act as a backup for end-user desktop support issues.

·  Maintain and create processes and procedures in relation to daily activities.

·  After hours technical support on a rotational and emergency as-needed basis.

·  Other projects as assigned by management.

 

Position Requirements:

 

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

·  Working knowledge of:

·  Unix, Linux, Solaris and Windows operating systems.

·  VMware, Microsoft and Xen virtualization technologies.

·  SAN and NAS technologies.

·  Basic Networking.

·  PC hardware, network devices, printers and other peripheral equipment.

·  Practical experience with technical support, troubleshooting and installation of software, hardware, and peripherals.

·  Must be able to work independently, and as a team, to meet strict deadlines.

·  Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

·  Self motivated, results driven, and detail oriented.
