JOB SPECIFICATION:  Sales Administrator

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Directly supports day-to-day sales administration including but not limited to coordination of travel, communications, meetings, schedules, reports, conference calls, tasks, and logistics.  Communicates with clients to schedule meetings.  Communicates with clients to secure payments on outstanding sales or services invoices.  Manages travel expenses for the company to ensure that we are on budget and getting the most value from our investments.  Assists the VP of Sales & Services to ensure that tasks from higher HQ as well as those assigned to subordinates are being completed in a timely manner.  Assists management with sales and marketing activities such as developing professional proposals, client events/meetings, conferences, seminars, trade shows, and other external functions.  Travel requirement is minimal.  The career path for this role is to rise to areas of greater responsibility within the sales, services, marketing, finance, and/or operations functions very quickly.

 

LOCATION:  Pasadena, CA (HQ)

 

REPORTS TO:  Vice President, Sales & Services

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  1-3+ years working with the administrative issues and tasks above preferably for a fast-growing, dynamic company (high tech industry preferred but not required)

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:  Professional in appearance and mannerismsStrong written and oral communication skills Strong work ethic and initiative, an ambitious individualProven track record in the area of business administrationExperienced in terms of professionally interacting with clients, partners, and team mates Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project and other “office programsâ€�Extremely organized and efficient in terms of “multi-taskingâ€� and getting several tasks done in parallelThrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment such as a start-up software company (embraces change)Can follow directions but also think independently and logically to solve a business problemCan handle the pressures of a fast growing business Works well with others, is a “team playerâ€�Basic knowledge of business finance and accounting are a plusExperience with financial systems such as Quickbooks or sales systems such as Salesforce.com are plusServing government clients is a plus

 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor of Arts or Science in Business, Engineering, MIS preferred

 

COMPENSATION:  $40,000 - $50,000 annual base salary plus benefits (health, dental)
