This highly awarded, Ireland-based enterprise software company is seeking to expand its current operations in the United States.  They are looking for a high level sales producer to be based in the Boston, MA area.  The person in this role will have a northeastern territory and will be charged with selling the full suite of enterprise software solutions, primarily to the insurance industry, but also into other new verticals. 

This company has won numerous awards and wants to continue this trend in the United States. Reporting to the CCO, the Sales Director will : Own and be responsible for achieving or exceeding personal revenue targets within the northeast. Generate a personal, qualified pipeline through calibrated activity and account plans agreed upon. Ultimately take on the responsibility of managing the other Sales Reps in the United States.  Close sales opportunities to a level that allows for agreed sales conversion/closure ratios to be met in order to achieve or exceed your licence fee-driven revenue target from new and existing customers for our products in our defined sectors and regions. Personally develop and enhance relationships with key industry executives for your target accounts to generate additional qualified pipeline and evangelise the company’s brand and products. Provide regular and accurate updates on personal lead generation and opportunity management / progression activities. Provide timely and accurate details on sales support resource requirements to fulfil sales cycle activities and ensure requirements are met by building a strong relationship with the Sales Consulting Manager. For key interactions and/or deliverables with prospects, ensure that appropriate review and control activities are executed before the event occurs in order to maximise performance standards. Ensure that all new business contracted is commercially viable. Participate in industry events where appropriate to aid in the generation of additional pipeline and evangelise the brand and products.
Requirements: In-depth knowledge and contacts within the Insurance industry, both General (all lines) and Life A solid understanding of software solutions and enterprise management software implementation Proven and successful track record of managing long-term sales cycles and selling ‘big ticket’ solutions Experience in building and driving targetted and winning sales campaigns, incorporating key client factors and outside influences, and detailing specific sales objectives and tactics Successful sales call and lead generation skills Ability to establish strong relationships at senior level and to influence and negotiate with key decision-makers.  Will be selling at the CEO and Board of Directors levels. Ability to clearly articulate and present business issues and proposals that address executive level issues Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport and to demonstrate to the client that their business needs are understood, value can be attributed to those needs, and how they can be solved A committed team player, able to work effectively as part of the internal team Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively within the region. Must have a proven track record of success in selling $1m+ yearly.
