We are actively recruiting for a Sales Engineer to join our Sales Engineering team. This position can work from one of the following Fiserv office locations - Columbia, SC, West Des Moines, IA, Cedar Rapids, IA or Denver, CO. This position can also work remotely if candidate doesn't reside near a Fiserv office location.Position requires up 40% to 60% annual travel.Position Summary:Provide sales support services to influence the sale of Property and Casualty software products and/or services with a heavy focus on the Personal and Commercial insurance market. The Sales Engineer/P&C Product Specialist will successfully demonstrate the use of strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and knowledge of solution benefits to influence the sale of new business. Provide strong analytic skills to identify and solve problems and make decisions based on limited precedents or guidelines. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Provide services throughout the sales process for new clients and prospects The products sold are typically large scale software or system implementations that require in-depth business knowledge and moderate technical knowledge Develop and deliver responses to complex RFPs, RFIs, and general product inquiries Discover, analyze, and evaluate clients’ needs and how Fiserv products and services can be configured and implemented to meet those needs Conduct product demonstrations and presentations that highlight the features, functionality, and other concepts for Fiserv products Recommend product enhancements to technical and product development teams based on product feedback Serve as an advisor to all sales and support staff on issues affecting the sale of Fiserv Insurance Solutions products May prepare product material, references or training material for customers and prospects and the sales force May perform on-site evaluations to validate the Fiserv products meet client and prospect requirements Participates in quarterly strategic planning Performs other duties as required Additional, Non-Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Five plus years of Property and Casualty experience - desired Previous experience with Fiserv P&C systems Previous sales support experience with product demonstrations, proposals, gathering requirements, etc. Accompany Sales Reps on sales calls to meet clients, present demos and monitor presentation Participate in national tradeshows/conferences Visit offices to partner and foster relationships for Sales ConsultantsJob Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education/Certification/License/Training:Years of Experience:Typically requires 7-9 years experience in a marketing/sales or related environment providing product demonstrations and developing sales proposals Requires a minimum of 3 years P&C insurance experience; ideally at least 1 year of experience with either billing and/or claims processing Skills and Knowledge:Thorough understanding of the organization and work environment Work is somewhat complex and requires moderate analytical abilityExcellent human relations skills, including written and verbal communications Experience and proficiency in developing and delivering compelling messages for the sale of software solutions, including presentations, demonstrations and other marketing modes Must be able to organize activities and handle multiple projects simultaneously with effective and timely follow-up on each Possess a positive, can-do attitude while operating under pressure, and be an independent problem-solver Experience in PowerPoint, Word and Excel Strong product demonstration skills Education/Certifications/Training:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or English or related discipline; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement Physical Conditions/Requirements:Position requires the ability to hear and communicate clearly, orally and in writing Uses vision to view screens, create and review documents; requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusCapable of using a keyboard effectivelyFrequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and may occasionally lift and move 25 poundsExpected travel 40-60%May require the ability to drive a vehicleThis position is exempt. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
